Pneumatic Products Improves Economic and Environmental Impacts of Natural Gas.

Natural gas processing requires the removal of water vapor from the raw product. The primary method of removal is the use of desiccant dehydration through the process of adsorption. Natural gas pipelines use this technology in large volume high pressure systems usually downstream of a compressor station. The desiccant in the CNG Series uses molecular sieve technology as the drying media for its ability to exclude adsorption of the gas molecules. These materials are found in the twin tower purification system. The natural gas enters the dryer inlet and flows through the molecular sieve where it is dehydrated by the moisture adsorption on to the desiccant. The water is retained on the desiccant as the clean dry natural gas exits at a pressure dew point as low as -100°F with residual moisture levels as low as 0.04 lbs. per MMScf.op blower purge technology to remove water vapor from the compressed natural gas. The down flow drying maintains a stable bed as the heated blower generated gas is passed over the molecular sieve driving off the moisture. The CNG Series processes a range of capacities from 200 to 10,000 scfm, and may be run in parallel to handle larger volumes.

The Pneumatic Products CNG Series uses AMLOC technology to sense the need to regenerate. The drying bed stays online until the energy management system signals the need to switch over for regeneration. This reduces the energy consumption affecting both the economic and environmental impacts. The reduction of energy consumption reduces energy costs and the emissions from the power stations the energy is drawn from.

The proven experience and exceptional technology of Pneumatic Products has provided clean, dry, economical, and environmentally safe solutions to the natural gas industry for over 25 years.

December 2008
Pneumatic Products Attend Fluid Machinery Expo in Beijing

Ocala, FL – USA, December 2008 - The exhibitors and attendees at the China International Exhibition Center covered a wide range of manufacturers. Products represented were pumps, blowers and fans, compressors, valves, gas separation and purification equipment and filtration and separation machinery. In the SPX tradition of providing solutions that support the expansion of global infrastructure SPX Dehydration and Filtration Brands represent a wide range of technologies showcased at this event.

Pneumatic Products Brand of SPX offers equipment tailored to power generation and large installations of chemical processing and specialty manufacturing.

The SPX exhibit was well received by distributors and customers visiting the booth. The CCAGPI (China Compressed Air and GAS Purification Institution) representative stopped in to welcome the SPX family of brands to the Fluid Machinery Show. We look forward to growing business ventures in the Asian Markets.

December 2008
Pneumatic Products Attend Power-Gen International in Orlando, Florida

POWER-GEN International, the world's largest power industry venue, visited Orlando, Florida from December 2-4. Pneumatic Products featured the HCP Series as we joined with other SPX Brands to offer the power industry an energy solutions showcase under the SPX banner.

Pneumatic Products' Hydrogen Coolant Purifiers (HCP) target power generators that need reliable technology to dehydrate and purify hydrogen. The HCP dries and purifies the hydrogen gas used as a coolant in electrical power plant generators; that increases the power production efficiencies of the generators. The HCP removes water, oil and other contaminants - to prevent corrosion and cracking in retaining and zone rings, lead carbonate formation, increased windage losses and other potentially catastrophic consequences.

September 2008
Pneumatic Products Attends Turbo Symposium in Houston, TX

Removing water and other contaminants from compressed air or gas is an essential requirement of any piece of turbo machinery. The TURBO Symposium held in Texas in September is the perfect forum for users concerned with maintenance, performance, troubleshooting, operation, and purchase of rotating equipment to meet with companies like Pneumatic Products and really learn how to improve their compressed air operation. At the TURBO Symposium, Pneumatic Products highlighted dryers that fit well with this mission, namely Heat-Les™ Pressure Swing Desiccant Dryer DHA/CDA Series with the PMX Configuration for Offshore Applications and the CAB Series Blower Purge Desiccant Dryer for Refineries and Power Generation.

Pneumatic Products is dedicated to the Petro-Chemical, oil/gas and Power Generation industries as evidenced by being the only dehydration company attending capable of meeting the high standards and specialty designs these industries demand. Our focus on Engineered Products is a strength you can count on when specifying equipment installations. Our precision engineered components and designs, deliver outstanding service life and operational longevity. Additionally the energy efficiency of Pneumatic Products' dryers is second to none, saving you money and helping to reduce green house gas emissions from power stations.

Pneumatic Products can be found at other industry shows throughout the year. Our diverse Engineered Product offerings span all industries requiring clean dry air or gases.
